Baba Ramdev appears in a new avatar — that of a builder. His journey from a yoga teacher to a manufacturer of traditional (“desi”) medicines, and now to a real estate developer, may sound surprising to many.
An advertisement published in a leading national English daily has invited applications for investment in the “Patanjali Industrial Park,” a YEIDA-approved project located in Sector 24, along the Yamuna Expressway. The advertisement features photographs of Ramdev and his close associate, Acharya Balkrishna.
It announces: “Registry open – easy installment plans available – ready-to-move possession.”
The industrial park has reportedly been approved by the Uttar Pradesh government led by Yogi Adityanath, who is known to be a supporter of Ramdev.
The advertisement further states: “These plots, ideal for FMCG, food processing, and herbal industries, are equipped with world-class infrastructure and offer unbeatable location advantages to fuel your business growth.”
