Shame on the Gurugram Police. The DGP must personally look into this matter, because the CP Gurugram will only try to shield his erring staff.
Today, The Times of India reported shocking news that exposes the questionable functioning of the Gurugram Police in handling victims of road rage. The report stated:
“Girl caught in road rage, her mother dials cops twenty times. They came forty minutes later.”
The victim’s mother said:
“If a child can be surrounded in broad daylight in a busy area like Sohna Road, and the police take 37 minutes to arrive despite repeated calls, how can anyone feel safe?”
The response from Gurugram Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar was equally disappointing. He stated:
“The delay in response will be examined. We will check why it took so long for police to reach the spot, and action will be taken against the police team if evidence shows negligence.”
Such incidents raise serious concerns about public safety and police accountability in Gurugram.
