.During crona period instead of sending hard copies of question papers CBSE used to send soft copies of the question papers through email to the schools across the nation where centre was located. Much before the start of exam gang will give the solutions of the question papers to their choosen one. The breakthrough came from a trusted source who revealed that a copy of the Mathematics paper was lying in the e-mail account of a private school in south Haryana that had been made an examination centre.
Soon after, the source mailed the question paper to me. The contents were immediately put out on social media as part of an investigative alert. Hours later, when students entered examination halls, the same paper appeared in the actual CBSE examination.
The revelation triggered a political and administrative storm.
Early that morning, the story posted on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Twitter timeline drew immediate attention in Delhi. Then Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar was summoned, and a formal probe into the leak was ordered without delay.
The episode had exposed how vulnerable India’s examination system had become to organised leak networks allegedly operating through private institutes and local conduits. Now, with Haryana once again surfacing in the NEET controversy, uncomfortable questions are returning:
