Our reader Rakesh Gupta on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat,s appeal for three children.“It is good that the Government is encouraging the majority community to have more children, but the real concern is about the support system required for their upbringing. For the majority and common citizens, who are not covered under any reservation or subsidy schemes, the cost of education, healthcare, and daily living is becoming increasingly expensive.

In my opinion, the Government needs to be more transparent on this subject. Merely appealing to parents to have more children — without addressing the practical challenges — only increases their burden. A clear policy framework with adequate support measures is necessary to make this encouragement meaningful and sustainable.
