When Modi as Gujarat CM has asked his Haryana counterpart to check over-sized vehicles

Modi has asked Haryana CM Hooda to check over- sized vehicles .long time back when
Narender Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat he had brought this irregularity to notice
of his Haryana counterpart, then Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda.The story has all ingredients
of a Mumbai Movie.Gujarat Police have detained a truck having Haryana licence .Owner had
approached , Manish Grover now former minister from Rohtak and told him that Gujarat Police
was demanding hefty amount as bribe.Grover in turn had requested Manohar Lal Khattar for help.Khattar
had told this scribe that when he contacted
Gujarat’s, transport minister, he was told that no body was demanding bribe. The authorities had
asked the truck owner to pay fine or face impounding of the vehicle due to his over – size .Later the matter was
brought to notice of Narender Modi who reportedly wrote a letter to then Haryana Chief
Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda following which some vehicles were fined .
. But the powerful lobby of truckers had managed the show.
Recalled that Hooda Govt. has given relaxations to truckers in granting fitness
certificates against the advice of legal remembrancer.
