Role of Haryana police authorities was not according to the Law-Justice K,N.Sekia appointed to probe role of Haryana police during Meham assembly by election from where then Haryana CM,Om Parkash Chautala was facing powerful Meham Chobisi supported candidate Anand Singh Dangi .

Misuse of Police for political interests during Meham assembly by-election-Extracts from report of Justice K.N.Sekia appointed to probe role of Police after murder of independent candidate Amir Singh.Then CM,Om Parkash Chautala was facing Anand Singh Dangi supported by powerful Meham Chobisi Panchayat.Justice Sekia was asked to probe facts relating the violent incidents in village Madia and the role of police authorities therein .After probe Justice Sekia observed in his report “The role of the police authorities therein was not in accordance with Law.”’

Justice Sekia further observed “it had the feeling that the police authorities themselves were victim of circumstances as they had to serve under a notoriously jealous regime in the State of Haryana making it difficult for otherwise good officers to stear themselves clear of jealousy and the fallout’s of the political activities ,except of course Mr Zile Singh then SP,Rohtsk and the few others .The officers,therefore deserve consideration on this count ,of course,taking precautions to prevent recurrence and to prevent deprivation of service benefits on the part of those who already retired meanwhile.Justice Sekia has submitted his report on May 31 ,1994 .
