Revive Sahibi and lakes in Aravali – stop exploitation of natural resources in Aravali, the city will revive, will breath and will be able to sustain itself. No more urban development, preserve what already is there. If not heard Gurugram is in danger to be a dead city.
Solutions for problems of Gurugram.
urban mess called Gurugram unlikely to change, unless residents embrace citizenship. We keep on blaming the government, rightly so, but have we ever looked inside ourselves to see whether we are performing the duty of a citizen. Cribbing becomes a noise during monsoon to peter away in dry weather, till the next shower makes it Venice again. Gurugram is a city with Midas touch, its citizen are entitled to have good civic amenities and public transportation. Alas, babus and citizens together bring it down. Why can’t RWA looks after their areas? No doubt we must revive the natural drains but what have we have done to Sahibi river and wet land- whose area has shrunked significantly . Let’s revive sahibi river with its tributaries, let’s revive the lakes in Aravali and let stop the exploitation of natural resources in Aravali, the city will revive, will breath and will be able to sustain itself. No more urban development, preserve what already is there. Nature already has warned so many times, now is the clarion call- if not heard, Gurugram is in danger to be a dead city.
