AAPSI NGO builds India’s first Green Crematorium for PETS in Faridabad.
It is proving to be very effective for public health and social welfare. So far, 42 pets have been cremated at their facility at Budhena village.
Faridabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sh Dhirendra Khadagta IAS and AAPSI Vice-President Dr. Sunil K Gulati IAS Retd, former Special Chief Secretary of Haryana, and Dr. Ramji Jaimal, a dedicated environmentalist stated that low-cost PET cremation facilities have become essential for public health in cities. This green PET cremation center has been established with public support.
Studies have shown that approximately 300 kg to 400 kg of wood and 100-200 cow dung cakes are required for cremating a domestic animal if done in the open. We have been quite successful in motivating people in Haryana, Punjab and Delhi to set up self-financed Green Crematoriums for Humans. Green Crematoriums for pets will use only 60-80 kg of wood or cow dung cakes for the first cremation and only 30-40 kg of wood or cow dung cakes for each PET cremation after the kiln is heated.
The goal is to heat body fat to 760-800 degrees Celsius, enough to support the cremation process. After that, no fuel is needed; the fat itself performs green cremation. A Green Crematorium can perform three to four cremations a day.
Funding for a Green Crematorium for pets has been provided to the NGO, “AAPSI” by a humanitarian service organization.

Environmentalist Dr. Ramji Jaimal is spearheading the implementation of this project to save trees. “AAPSI” has established 762 centers for human green cremation, but this is the first attempt in India for Green Crematorium for animals. The Green Crematorium for Pets service is available 24×7 round the clock. Local contact: Mr. Vineet Khattar, Sector 86, Budhena village, Faridabad. 9988775113
