After controversy over MCG Mayor poll- Sonipat Nigam Mayors election also under cloud.While in Gurugram controversy was over bogus BC-A certificate by BJP and Congress candidates in Sonipat five booths of village Bayanpur were included in voters list of Mayor,s election.Although after complaint from Congress candidate Kamal Diwan State Election Commissioner has ordered that votes of above booths will not be in included in counting scheduled on March 12.For Mayor post BJP has fielded Rajiv Jain former media adviser of Manohar Lal.Sonipat witnessed lowest polling of 28.8 percent despite campaign by CM Nayab Saini.Million dollar question still stands about the major discrepancy In electoral process.Tailpiece.This time BJP has denied ticket to Kavita Jain in assembly elections following which supporters of Jains revolted and Kavita Jain started weeping.But CM Naib Saini persuaded Rajiv Jain not to contest assembly elections as rebel party candidate.He was given consolation prize in shape of ticket for Mayor.
