“Caesar’s wife must be above suspicion.” The same principle should apply to the higher judiciary. In this context, questions have earlier been raised regarding the past conduct of Justice Caesar, a designated Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Now, the Collegium headed by Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India, has cleared the name of Haryana Advocate General Pravindra Singh Chauhan for appointment as a Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
