Gustakhi Maaf Haryana: Questions Raised Over India’s Proposed Free Trade Deals with United States and United Kingdom

Gustakhi Maaf Haryana – Pawan Kumar Bansal

How a free trade deal with the USA and UK is going to help a developing country like India when the sons of prominent politicians are foreign citizens.

India has 1.40 billion population and these countries have such small populations.

Free trade agreements can only occur between countries with currencies of similar value, like the Euro zone in Europe; otherwise, they will buy the whole of your country.

Indian products are difficult to sell in these countries, but their better-quality products will gain the market and you lose billions of dollars in excise and customs.

They have just sold India and are creating problems for young people, who are reduced to labor only and find it difficult to start any new venture owing to the high cost of land and inflation.

Plus, you lose so much by stopping cheap oil from Iran and Russia.

This is a complete disaster. A farmer in the USA has hectares of land, and Indian farmers cannot compete with them.

Because of Modi’s approach of fighting with every neighbor, we are left with enemies everywhere—Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, China, Burma, Iran—and now making hostile relations with Russia. The defense budget is increasing, and purchases are being made through Anil Ambani at such a high price.

It is like taking thousands of rupees from every Indian and giving it to the small populations of France and the USA.

Rather than having free trade agreements with neighboring countries, securing and reviving ancient Silk Road and trade routes through neighboring countries, we are busy fighting and purchasing arms worth billions.

A trade deal with the USA can only occur if the USA gives in writing that it will not supply weapons to Pakistan.

Trade worth billions is already happening with China. Simply getting a trade agreement with a written statement on settling borders or allowing trade routes to Tibet and the Gulf via the Silk Road should be done.

Just forming a bubble of masculinity when you do not have the courage to take back even Coco Islands in Andaman or PoK is a blunder.
