Selective ban on use of drones in Gurugram-BJP leaders favoured -Congress leader Pearl Choudhary complaints to CM.
To the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana & the District Magistrate, Gurugram –
Is the law in Haryana only for the opposition and common citizens—
but not for the ruling BJP?
On 9th May 2025, your office issued Order No. 1745, signed by DM Ajay Kumar, IAS, banning drones and similar aerial devices under Section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, citing national security. The order is valid until 7th July 2025.
Yet on 23rd May, during a BJP-led Tiranga Yatra in Old Mandi, Pataudi, two drones were flown openly—right under the nose of the administration.
Who led the rally?
The BJP MLA from Pataudi, Pataudi district BJP president, and municipal councillors.
Let’s be clear:
This isn’t just an order violation—it’s a direct insult to the Constitution and the rule of law.
On behalf of the Congress Party, I ask:
1.Is this “urgent alert” only for show—meant to restrain opposition and public, but ignored by BJP?
2.If a Congress worker or ordinary citizen had flown a drone, would they be spared?
3.Is the law now optional for those in power?
4.Where is action under Section 223 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023?
This is no longer about drones.
It’s about your credibility, neutrality, and respect for the Constitution.
The public expects answers.
Will you act—or stay silent in the shadow of power?
