For a moment forgot Bhullar DIG.Ropar range- Punjab Police had made supreme sacrifices by laying down their lives in the line of the duty to save the society and the Nation.On occasion of Police Commemoration Day on Monday Punjab Police has saluted its martyrs by issuing full page advertisements in leading newspapers.It says that 2 DIG,3 SSP,s 2 COMDTs ,6 SPs,10 DSPs,32 INSPs,62 SIs,128 ASIs,217 HCs,784 Constables ,360 PHGs& 180 SPOs of Punjab Police made the Supreme sacrifice for preserving the unity & integrity of the nation.Punjab DGP,Gaurav Yadav in his message has stated “ Punjab Police stands firmly with the families of the martyrs and keeps working for their all round welfare.We are indebted to the Punjab government for its magnanimity and support in this endeavour “Tailpiece.Admitted that during hey days of terrorism some Cops have misused their powers but it is a fact that at that time when even Judges had refused to hear cases it was Police which stood against terrorists.
