Court of Punjab &Haryana High Court for clearing the posting of newly promoted District and Sessions Judges- although belatedly..How our Judiciary works- 15 ADJs were designated as District and Sessions Judges in Punjab and Haryana. Highly placed sources told that meeting of full court of Punjab and Haryana High Court was held during this period but issue was deferred reasons best known to me Lords.But ultimately list was cleared on Saturday.Tailpiece. Consequences of delay .Six Sessions courts in Punjab and six Sessions courts in Haryana were lying vacant for more than two and half months. The high court has become totally insensitive towards agonies of litigants.Twelve Sessions courts are defunct for such a long time. There’s no one to listen to the grievances of litigants in these Sessions divisions. There’re so many urgent things like transfer applications, marking of cases to different courts in the district, keeping in view the stakes involved and the integrity of the concerned officers, which a Sessions Judge has to take care of.The matter required only five minutes of the persons at the helm of affairs, so as to give postings to twelve Sessions judges, but alas they don’t have even five minutes to spare.On weekends these very people give Lectures full of moral trappings but don’t care about the rot within.
