Terming it an attempt to protect the corrupt , she held that no prior sanction was needed from the competent authority to probe a Govt official. Her verdict validates the stand taken by Mr Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor , ex-DG of ACB Haryana, for prosecuting the high and mighty corrupt bureaucrats.For a layman , prior sanction of the Chief Sectary under PC Act for prosecution is certainly a shield to cover the corrupt. If at all any prior sanction is needed , it should be from an independent/neutral authority.
