India,s decision of putting Indus water treaty between India and Pakistan in abeyance has given desired results leading Pakistan to sweat.

Prime Minister Narender Modi,s weapon of keeping “Indus water treaty between India and Pakistan after the Pak sponsored terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam on hold gave desired results.It has put Pakistan in defensive and now urging India for reconsideration of its decision .

A leading national English daily had summed up the scenario in its front page headlines titled “ Modi : Merely put Indus water treaty on hold & Pak already sweating.Modi has emphasised to use water from Indus river system from India alleging that treaty was badly negotiated and it was against our country,s interests.

The treaty was signed by then PM,Jawahar Lal Nehru and Pakistan.Speaking at a gathering in Gandhinagar to celebrate 20 years of “Gujarat Urban Growth story’.Modi said that cabinet committee on security’s decision to put the treaty in abeyance in response to Pahalgam massacre was not a knee – jerk response of an angry government adding that the treaty has merely been put on hold and Pakistan is sweating profusely.
