Illicit Khair Felling in Panchkula’s Wildlife Sanctuary Area

Illicit felling of khair trees is reportedly taking place in the wildlife sanctuary area of Panchkula. The PCCF (Wildlife) had sought to bring these areas under his direct command, and the government accepted the proposal.

But just see the situation now — there appears to be no one effectively protecting these areas. They are increasingly under threat from timber smugglers.
