Visited Indian Express Noida office- paid tribute to its founder Ramnath Goenka and met R K Jha Editor in Chief of Indian Express ,presented him copy of my book on Politics culture and governance of Haryana “Haryana Ke Lalon Ke Sabrange Kisse”About five decades back I had started journalism as part time reporter of Indian Express while still studying in Govt College Jind.In 1987 I was shifted to Jansatta by Sh Parbash Joshi and posted at Chandigarh.Although I could not clear the written test for appointment which is as tough as clearing UPSC exam.
But Lady Luck smiled as Sh Ramnath Goenka was impressed by my one story about functioning of Haryana govt headed by Bansi Lal.So I was appointed with three advance increments.During my stint in Jansatta at Chandigarh 87 to 90 then CM Devi Lal got annoyed with my few critical reports and complained to Sh Goenka ji against me but Goenka ji defended me .
I presented my book on Politics culture and governance of Haryana “Haryana ke Lalon Ke Sabrange Kisse “ to Sh R K Jha Editor in Chief of Indian Express and sought his blessings for its soon coming English version.The book anecdotal in structured highlights the Politics of Defections, Aaya Ram Gaya Ram phenomena ,Floor crossing and Bharat Darshan.Besides the decisive role of Haryanvi politicians in national politics including the ouster of Rajiv Gandhi ,Chander Shekhar,VP,Singh and Morarji Desai from the power.
Book written in Hindi twenty five years back was forwarded by Parbash Joshi and was appreciated by Justice PB Sawant then Press Council of India Chief,eminent Journalists Khushwant Singh and Kuldeep Nayar besides cricketer Kapil Dev.Now it will come in English.
