Haryana has set a national benchmark in responsible e-governance through HARTON’s pioneering e-Waste Governance Blueprint. In FY 2025–26, the State operationalised a transparent, end-to-end digital system for scientific disposal of obsolete electronic assets. Government departments can easily create login IDs and register their e-waste on a unified portal, making uploaded lots visible to HSPCB-registered authorised recyclers for competitive e-auctions. The responsibility for collection, scientific processing, and issuance of statutory disposal certificates rests with the successful vendor, ensuring accountability and compliance.

Adopted by 98 departments, the initiative generated ₹1.16 crore in revenue and simultaneously freed a substantial area for alternative and productive use. Thus, the initiative promoted environmental stewardship while establishing a scalable model for sustainable public administration.Tailpiece.Project implemented by VIvek Kalia additional director Public Relations Haryana.Gustakhi Maaf Haryana-Pawan Kumar Bansal.Haryana has set a national benchmark in responsible e-governance through HARTON’s pioneering e-Waste Governance Blueprint.
