It gives me immense pleasure to share my thoughts on Gustakhi Maaf Haryana and to review “Beyond Dynasties: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Transformational Surge in Haryana and Other North Indian States “by senior journalist Sushil Manav.

This is a must-read book by an experienced and deeply insightful journalist. The work offers substantial material for researchers, political analysts, and students of political science who wish to understand the evolving political landscape of Haryana and other North Indian states. It is not merely a narration of events but a well-researched political study grounded in years of field reporting.

My association with Sushil spans nearly four decades. I have seen him grow from a budding young stringer into a mature and respected journalist. Seventeen years ago, when I wrote my book Tips for Investigative Journalism, Sushil was at the beginning of his career. Even then, I had written that he had the potential to rise as a star in journalism. I am glad to say that this prediction has come true.
