BJP Eyes Hung Assembly in Punjab, Amit Shah and Nayab Saini Play Key Role Amid Caste Strategy and Political Defections
Gustakhi Maaf Haryana – Pawan Kumar Bansal
Bharatiya Janata Party’s strategy to win the Punjab election — If it cannot win on its own, then aim for a hung assembly. The role of Amit Shah and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is seen as significant. BJP is trying to divide Sikhs on a caste basis. About 22 percent Sikhs are Ramdasias and Mazbis (both SC), while Ramgarhia Sikhs (BC) form another substantial percentage.
Nayab Saini has been wearing a turban while visiting Punjab. There have been defections from Aam Aadmi Party, Indian National Congress, and Shiromani Akali Dal. Money power is also being used. Tailpiece: blessings of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh of Dera Sacha Sauda.
